CAILLEACHAN

"Cailleachan" is a 32-page illustrated narrative based upon historical accounts of the so-called ‘witches’ and ‘warlocks’ of the Scottish Highlands. The stories largely originate from the area of Moray where I grew up, where in which strange happenings were once commonplace. The title of the book, “Cailleachan” is an traditional Gaelic word meaning ‘old woman’, but with supernatural connotations.

silk-screen printed, hand-bound covers.
