CORP CREADH

Historically, witches were accused of inflicting harm upon their enemies by creating what was known as the corp creadh, or ‘clay body’. Methods to induce harm included pushing pins through the body, or placing the body in a fire or stream. I have specifically chosen to use raku - an intensive glazing method which requires clay to be placed in extreme heat, and then submerging in icy water - as the method of glazing the bodies in reference to the rituals the witches supposedly undertook. Raku, ceramic.
