WITCHES OF GAELDOM

A depiction of three ‘witches of Gaeldom’, who were said to have protected their land and those akin to themselves by casting spells on stormy nights at the edge of the sea. These are part of a series exploring historical accounts featuring the so-called ‘witches’ and ‘warlocks’ of the Scottish Highlands. The stories largely originate from the area of Moray where I grew up, where in which strange happenings were once commonplace.
