This is a story of how the little unassuming wren became King of the Birds. The birds decided one day that they needed a King - and how better to choose a King than a test of flight? They decided that whichever bird flew the highest would become King. As the birds readied themselves for flight, little wren took a chance, and managed to sneak himself into the feathers of an eagle. As the contest began, eagle flew the highest of them all - flying so high it looked as though he touched the sun. Just as he could fly no more, his energy depleted, little wren flew out from his hiding place, and flew even higher than eagle could manage. As the birds all descended back down to land, they crowned little wren King of the Birds - if not for his flying prowess, but for his cunning.
